Afghan Militants Ambush Tourist Group

A convoy carrying a dozen foreign tourists was reportedly ambushed in western Afghanistan, officials confirmed to BBC News. The group was being escorted by military personnel on their way to Herat city, and authorities said the caravan included eight British tourists, three Americans, and one German. All survived the attack, sustaining only “light” injuries at the hands of the as-yet-unidentified militants; security forces have been sent to the area for reinforcement.
