ABC Apologizes for Kimmel Skit

Not all humor translates, kid. ABC apologized on Monday for comments made by a six-year-old on Jimmy Kimmel Live earlier this month. In a skit meant to illustrate the childishness of government, the six-year-old suggested in an unscripted moment to kill “all the people in China” as a solution to the U.S. debt crisis. ABC apologized in an email to the Asian-American equality organization ABC 80-20 Initiative, saying “we would never purposefully broadcast anything to upset the Chinese community, the Asian community, anyone of Chinese descent or any community at large.” The skit will be pulled from future broadcasts of the show.
