ABC Anchor Dies on Assignment

Lisa Colagrossi, an ABC Eyewitness News anchor in New York, has died after suffering a brain hemorrhage, according to a statement released Saturday by WABC. Colagrossi, 49, was returning from an assignment Thursday morning when the aneurysm hit. “She was an amazing reporter, committed to Eyewitness News,” said the statement. “She was dedicated to telling a story with honesty [and she was] a working woman, a hockey mom [and] gutsy and fearless.” Colagrossi, who worked at the station for almost 14 years, leaves behind a husband and two sons.
