9/11 Museum Pulls Cheese Platter

The National September 11 Memorial & Museum should maybe steer clear of food-related merchandise. The museum, which was criticized this month for planning to install a restaurant on the premises, has yanked a cheese platter in the shape of the continental U.S. (complete with three little heart symbols where the hijacked planes crashed) from its gift shop. Memorial CEO Joe Daniels told the New York Post that all items sold in the store will have to get approval from 9/11 victims’ family members who are on the foundation’s board.
