6 Arrested in London Synagogue Attack

Police arrested six people in connection to a drunken attack on a London synagogue on Sunday. The group was allegedly drunk when they attempted to get into a synagogue in Stamford Hill early Sunday, police said. One man reportedly made an anti-Semitic comment while another trying to stop the attackers was punched in the face. The six suspects were held for public-order offenses and assault, police said. “At this early stage, there is no suggestion that this was a far-right or extremist attack but rather the completely unacceptable actions of a drunken group,” a Metropolitan Police spokesman said.
