500K Iraqis Flee Mosul

According to the International Organization for Migration, more than 500,000 Iraqi citizens have fled their country’s second largest city, Mosul, after it fell to terrorists. Hundreds of radical Islamist militants from an al Qaeda offshoot now control the city. The Iraqi government forces, trained by the U.S., reportedly fled when faced with fighters from the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, also called ISIS and ISIL. On Wednesday, Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki declared that all military leadership that fled would be court-martialed.
