An investigation into sexual abuse at a tony Rhode Island prep school has widened to include at least 40 former students. Seven former staff members and four students are suspected of sexually abusing or raping the students at St. George’s School over three decades, officials say. Lawyers said the alleged abuses happened between 1974 and 2004, and four of the seven former staff members are still alive. In at least two of those cases, the suspects are still working with young people. None of the suspected abusers have been charged criminally.
