3 Shot Dead on Indian Reservation

A blaze of gunfire left three people dead and four more wounded on the Tule River Indian reservation in California on Saturday night. Police responded to a 911 call on the reservation shortly before 8 p.m. and found two bodies in a trailer and a third in a nearby shed. The man believed to be responsible for the shooting, Hector Celaya, attempted to flee with his two daughters. After a low-speed chase—sometimes as slow as 15 miles per hour—the suspect was stopped by Tulare County detectives. Celaya, 31, was injured in the exchange of gunfire that ensued.
