29 Foreigners Eyed for Cologne Attacks

Officials reported that 31 people have been identified as suspects in the at least 90 sexual assaults and robberies that took place in Cologne, Germany, on New Year’s Eve. Eighteen of those people were seeking asylum in the country, German authorities said. Of the 31 people being eyed, two are German citizens, while the other 29 are foreign nationals: nine Algerian, eight Moroccan, five Iranian, four Syrian, one Iraqi, one Serb, and one American. Two of the suspects have reportedly been arrested.
