2,000 Enslaved Fishermen Rescued

The AP reports that more than 2,000 enslaved fishermen have been rescued after a blistering expose detailing the conditions of many people harvesting seafood. The men are mostly from Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, and Laos, and many say their families likely thought they were dead. The wire service adds that nine people have been arrested in the crackdown on the multimillion-dollar Thai-Indonesian fishing industry.
