13 Arrested for SAT Fraud

Nine more students were arrested at a high school in Long Island, N.Y., for paying others to take the SAT in their place, bringing the total number of arrests to 20 in the cheating probe. Four people who took the test were also arrested. An investigation into the cheating scheme began earlier this year when teachers heard that students had paid scammers to take the test for prices between $500 and $3,600. The cheaters are charged with the first-degree felony of scheming to fraud.
