12 Survivors in Russian Plane Crash

A dozen people survived the crash of a turboprop aircraft in Siberia and 31 were killed in an accident that Russian officials are now blaming on icing. The company says the pilot was trying to make an emergency landing on a snowy field four minutes after takeoff, and the search team says the plane crashed and burst into flames. Russian air safety has a dismal record: last year the entire Lokomotiv Yaroslavl ice-hockey team was killed in a crash, and the year before Polish President Lech Kaczynski and scores of other senior Polish officials were killed in a crash near Smolensk.
